Attention amature film makers!

Keep your camera rolling during your adventure in Gold Country because we want to see it. It could be anything - a hike with friends, your geocaching adventure, a wildlife sighting, your camping trip - let your imagination be your guide! Here are the guidelines for your entry:

  • Maximum 3 minutes in length.
  • Shot within the Gold Country Region.
  • Footage must have been shot by you or your family.
  • English language or no dialogue.
  • Contest open to entrants of all ages.
  • You may enter more than once, but each film must be completely different.

    How to enter:
    1) Produce a film of your Gold Country experience & upload to your youtube account.

    2) Join the Gold Country YouTube Group

    3) Upload your film to the contest thread.

    4) In the description section of your film, note dates and locations of the film

    Optional – add the story behind your adventure – convince others to vote for your film

    Deadline for submissions: Dec. 31, 2010

    Rules & Regulations: Film creator is responsible for obtaining permission from people in their film & following all copyright regulations & laws. Entries must not include environmental destruction, harm to animals, extreme violence, pornographic or offensive material. Prizes awarded at the discretion of the contest committee. Winners consent to the use of their name, photograph and video in publicity and consent to reproduction/use of the video by Gold Country for publicity and promotional purposes.
